The appelgebak here is the reason people cross the city for a slice, a thick, warm wedge of cinnamon spiced apple under a loose crumble top, served with unsweetened whipped cream that cuts the sugar just enough. The terrace faces Noordermarkt, so Saturday farmers market mornings and Monday flea market days are the busiest, loudest times to visit. No reservations for a table this small, but the queue moves fast and mostly for takeaway slices anyway.
