Two adjoining canal houses on the Keizersgracht, decorated with a deliberately maximalist mix of velvet, brass and statement wallpaper rather than the neutral palette most boutique hotels default to. Rooms vary a lot in size and shape since the building was never designed as a hotel, so it is worth checking the floor plan before booking a larger one. The Jordaan's cafes and the Anne Frank House are both a short walk from the front door.
